OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA. VOID IN FLORIDA, PUERTO RICO, THE CANADIAN PROVINCE OF QUEBEC AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1.SPONSORS: Beckett Publications, Inc., 15850 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248
2. TO ENTER: Enter online at </contests>. Complete and submit form, received no later than midnight CDT, March 1, 2004. Or send an index card with your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address to 2003 Playoff Contenders Contest, 15850 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248.

3. LIMITATIONS: Each entry must be received by midnight CDT, March 1, 2004. Only one entry per person. Open only to U.S. and Canadian citizens (other than the residents of Florida, Puerto Rico and the Canadian Province of Quebec). Employees of Sponsors, Beckett Publications, their respective parents, subsidiaries and agencies (the "Entities"), and members of their immediate families, are ineligible. Entities are not responsible for printing errors or inaccurate, incomplete, stolen, lost, illegible, mutilated, postage-due, misdirected, delayed or late entries by mail. Void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. In order to win a prize, residents of Canada will be required to answer correctly a time-limited mathematical skill testing question to be administered via telephone or e-mail.

4. PRIZES: 10 prize winners – one box of 2003 Playoff Contenders.

5. Estimated ARV of prize – $144. Every entrant will also automatically receive an e-mail subscription to the weekly Beckett Hobby Newsletter. Prizes not redeemable for cash or transferable; and no substitutions allowed except, at Sponsor's sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value might be substituted. All prizes will be awarded.

6. PROCEDURES: Sweepstakes begins January 19, 2004, and ends at midnight CDT, March 1, 2004. On or about March 8, 2004, under supervision of Sponsor, winner will be selected from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.

7. WINNER: Will be notified by e-mail and/or phone after March 8, 2004; and prize shipped from 6 to 8 weeks thereafter. Return of notification or prize as undeliverable or any violation of contest rules will result in selection of alternate winner by random drawing. All taxes on prize are solely winner's responsibility. For list of winners (March 8, 2004), send self-addressed, stamped envelope to 2003 Playoff Contenders Contest Winners, 15850 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248.

8. RESERVATIONS: By entering this sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and Sponsor's decision, which is final.

9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By entering, participants release and hold harmless Entities, their subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the contest or any prize won. Entities are not responsible for stolen, lost, illegible, mutilated, postage due, misdirected, delayed or late entries or prizes; for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether such errors are caused by typographical errors, postal errors, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the contest. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest, Entities reserve the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES:  ENTITIES MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ORAL OR WRITTEN, CONCERNING THIS CONTEST. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES THAT MAY BE IMPOSED BY APPLICABLE LAW ARE LIMITED IN ALL RESPECTS TO THE DURATION OF THE CONTEST. IN NO EVENT WILL ENTITIES, THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AFFILIATES OR ANYONE ELSE INVOLVED IN THE CREATION OR OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, DIRECT OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. You may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

Texas laws govern the operation of this contest, these Official Rules and all Disclaimers made herein, regardless of any State's choice of law principles, with a forum and venue of Dallas County, Texas.

11. MISCELLANEOUS: All entries become the sole property of the Entities and none will be returned. In the event of a dispute, entries made by Internet will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address from which the entry is submitted, at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider, or other online organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

11. OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, or in Canada, a Declaration of Compliance with Contest Rules, a Liability Release, and where lawful, a Publicity Release, within (30) thirty days of notification. Failure to do so will result in the being disqualified and another winner selected in place of the disqualified person at random from all eligible entries. If a winner is under the age of majority where the winner resides, the winner’s parent or guardian must sign the Affidavit of Eligibility, or in Canada, the Declaration of Compliance with Contest Rules, and where lawful the Publicity Release. If any prize or prize notification is returned as non-deliverable, the winner will be disqualified and prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that the Entities, and those acting under their authority, may use winner’s name, city and state, picture/portrait likeness and/or voice for advertising and promotional purposes without further consideration, unless prohibited by law.

By participating in the contest, entrants hereby agree to all personal information uses and disclaimers as explained in the above and noted in the privacy policy.
