This 1,252-card set was issued over three series in 2006. The first series was released in April, the second series in August, and the Update set in December. All three series were issued in eight-card packs with an $2.99 SRP. These cards came 24 packs to a box and 12 boxes to a case. The first two series were sequenced in alphabetical team order, with the players in first name alphabetical order in the first series as well. However, if the player was traded, he was still sequenced as if he were with his 2005 team. The second series was just sequenced in alpabetical team order. Cards 871-900 were checklists while cards 901-999 featured 2006 rookies. The final cards in this set feature a mix of players with new teams and more 2006 rookies. Cards numbered 1221--1250 were also checklist cards sequenced in alphabetical team order and were printed to stated odds of one in two update packs. Jason Repko card number 245 was not issued in packs; however, when the Upper Deck Fat Packs, which included series one and two cards that situation was rectified.
