The front of each of the plastic baseball "coins" in this set contains a raised profile of a ballplayer. Each plastic coin measures approximately 1 1/2" in diameter. Although similar in design to the 1959 and 1960 issues by Armour, the 1955 set is distinguished by a number of details: the full team name under the profile, the listing of birthplace and date and batting and throwing preferences on the back and, of course, the 1954 batting or won-loss record located on the reverse. The coins are not numbered and come in colors of black, blue, blue-green, green, orange, red, yellow, tan and gold. Black, tan, and gold are the toughest color coins to find. Mantle and Kuenn exist in two variations each. These coins were inserted one per Armour Star Package of Hot Dogs. The set price below includes both variations. [Collapse]
