The 16-card color series, known as Type I, is much tougher and more valuable. The obverse captions are printed in blue and are located in the white border at the bottom. The reverse is marked "First Series", but no subsequent printings are known. There are also 219 of the Type II black and white "Photo Series" listed below, although more are believed to exist. The captions on this type are printed in black and are found within a white panel inside the picture area. Both types are unnumbered. Type I cards are alphabetized below. while Type II cards are arranged in alphabetical order within team. Teams in Type II are Anderson (17-27), Charlotte (28-40), Danville (41-50), Fayetteville (51-58), Goldsboro (59-73), Greensboro (74-86), Greenville (87-99), Lynchburg (100-111), Norfolk (112-124), Portsmouth (125-135), Raleigh (136-154), Richmond (155-168), Roanoke (169-181), Rocky Mount (182-188), Spartanburg (189-200), Wilmington (201-211), Wilson (212-223), and Winston-Salem (224-236).
